Another odd question. My photoshop has been developing little quirks. The newest being when I want to duplicate a layer, the small window creeps upwards till it disappears and the only way to say yes is hit *enter*. Any ideas why it happens? Thank you, tbc

How do I know if the colors I see on my monitor are as they should be? A friend of mine said the colors are too shocking, bright.  To me they look fine, the same as when I bought this monitor/pc, about a year ago.  Is there a standard for this type of thing?  Thanks so much for any help!!!  tbc

My hp is fried...well the motherboard, power supply and a few other things are gone.  The hard drive is fine, as is the cd burner and a kool neon fan.  Anyway my pc guy will install in this , my new one... the cd thing , I don't think it hurts to have an extra, and he said he can put the hard drive inside the pc as well, or I can have it as an external hard drive, just plugging it in when I want to use it.  My question is, if it is installed internally that means it will alw...

I found this on PC Pitstop..  looked interesting         Sockso-personal music server Small application that allows you to access your music files from within your Local network, or when away from home. It is called sockso, and doesn't require installation, just download the zip file, extract it and run it from right the...

I am looking to purchase a new pc. I have an HP Pavilion, WindowsXP Home SP2. Intel Celeron CPU 2.ooGHz , 1.99 GHz, 504MB of RAM , Intel Extreme Graphics, which I am still very happy with. But I would like to create images that can be printed at 300dpi...and poster size, say 30"x40"...although my son wants one as long as his sofa... Some of the programs I use are Apophysis, photoshop6, psp7, Artrage, Artrage2, twistedbrush, coreldraw9 and photopaint, dogwaffle, deep paint, Inkscape...

Anyone that still uses Photoshop 6... My problem is, when I save a pic in any format( jpeg, png, bmp, etc.), there is a difference in what the pic looks like, from the original...in photoshop. Sometimes slight color loss, or the pic is too dark. I have never had this problem in any other graphics program I use. Any ideas would be appreciated!! Thank you!! tbc

I was wondering if there is a way to keep the "preview" window open while I am painting in say dogwaffle? If I want to look at one of my cloud photos for a reference for a picture I am painting, I have to keep clicking on that window to bring it up, then when I start painting it is not visible anymore. I would like to keep the preview window visible, while I am painting. Thanks for any help, ideas or whatnots!!!

This article was in The New York Times this morning. It is an interesting read and explains why Microsoft has put off releasing Windows Vista. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/27/technology/27soft.html?ei=5088&en=d0c02cd75d5822fb&ex=1301115600&adxnnl=1&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss&adxnnlx=1143461088-pr16MhX3w8s+O6hS19bgTg

This morning I tried to save several of my folders in Outlook Express, to my F drive (maxheadroom...extra storage, not physically attached to the harddrive). Long story short, I ended up having them read by notepad, lost all my folders in Outlook Express,to drive F, where I couldn't read them( hit move instead of copy)...please no laughing !! After a couple of hours of trying to rename the folders, I finally decided to do that system restore, where you can restore your computer to a previ...

I was up at my daughters for a few days and since the new baby has had very little time for computing. When I was there in April, I installed the 2005 Nortons anti-virus, ad-aware, cleaned up her machine ( ran defrag, disk cleanup, etc.) all of which she very seldom did, but I had it running smoothly, no viruses, etc. Also did an online virus check at pc pitstop to confirm no viruses that Nortons said. So this time, when I started her computer, it seemed fine , but it froze when I was...

There has been much discussion on many sites about wallpaper: such as moderating , the do's and don'ts of creating , ratings , is it art or not and download count, just to name a few. But has anyone asked, What does wallpaper mean to you? How often is wallpaper displayed on your desktop or do you collect wallpaper as someone would collect Beanie Babies, keeping them in a special folder for viewing. As for what wallpaper means to me, it is a way to give something of myself by c...

I was wondering if any of you skinners would be interested to make a wb to go with my Firefall wallpaper. I realize that this is not the way it is done, the wb idea comes first, then the wall to go with it...Some will say, why don't you make the wb yourself, trust me I have delved into that area many times and ran away screaming! Anyway it is just an idea!
